Our Forest Sanctuary

Dyers Bay Wild by Nature Forest Sanctuary

953 Dyers Bay Rd, Miller Lake, ON

Barbara purchased the Dyers Bay property years ago when it was a depleted quarry, and has restored a slice of nature’s paradise by planting native trees and shrubs and pollinator-friendly plants since.  Our forest sanctuary has been designated by the National Wildlife Federation as a certified wildlife habitat. Native species have returned in abundance to these lands, which are now rich with nature.  Peregrine falcons, owls, hawks, bald eagles, flocks of bluebirds, foxes, porcupines, minks and black bears have travelled through this wonderful forest at Dyers Bay. Our forest bathing experience will lead you up the path where you will open the beckoning red doors in the forest, stepping into an intriguing experience.  Through this forest sanctuary you will wander, noticing wildlife and nature all around you. Meander along a stream which disappears beneath your feet, across meadows, and up the magnificent limestone steps to enjoy natural refreshments.

Our Dyers Bay property is located just south of Bruce National Park and is located adjacent to the Bruce Trail, and municipal parking lot at Dyers Bay.  Local points of interest include the beautiful Cabot Head lighthouse, which is currently closed for the season and the Dyers Bay public dock offering a spectacular view of turquoise Dyers Bay waters and the Niagara Escarpment. Bruce Trail access and a public parking lot is conveniently located right beside our property.

Note:  We are conveniently located beside the municipal Paid Parking lot and Bruce Trail access at Dyers Bay.  The Dyers Bay public dock is steps away, offering a spectacular view of Georgian Bay.
