Forest Bathing?
What’s it all about?
Rx: nature
Physicians now write prescriptions to spend time in nature to reduce stress & anxiety, lower blood pressure, & elevate feelings of happiness. Nature has healing powers. There really is a mind – body – nature connection!
Forest Bathing builds on the Japanese practice of shinrin–yoku, meaning “showering in the forest”. But Forest Bathing is much more than just a walk in the woods. By adding elements of mindful, creative explorations, we reconnect to nature and often find personal reflections. Come be fascinated by the babbling brook, relax in the hanging chairs in the forest, wonder at the escarpment cliffs or meditate amongst the lavender & wildflowers. Wild By Nature Sanctuary is not just a forest; it is an inspiring experience for the mind, body & spirit.
In our mindful experiences for the mind, body & spirit, you will be guided through our revitalized forest on trails artfully designed for forest bathing, meditation & creative inspiration at this hidden gem of the Bruce Peninsula. Experience the abundant wildlife, native plants, towering cliffs and disappearing stream at this UNESCO World Biosphere private forest sanctuary.
“To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles.”
